Indigo Ikat Throw

We are inspired by how things are done
Our throws are one of the best examples. All our textiles are naturally dyed using vegetable dyes derived from roots, bark, leaf flowers or fruits. After designing a pattern and cutting it into a piece of wood, the patterns are printed on the fabric. Tedious and precise work, this is one of the earliest and simplest ways to print on textiles .The women we employ locally are experts and use natural dyes and pigments only. Large pieces are sun-dried and textiles are stamped with designs using handmade, wooden stamps. So each piece is unique.
Lay them over your bed, sofa or have a picknick or beach session with one of these beauties.
- This plaid has been indigo dyed. Indigo is a natural color distracted from plants which gives it its unique tone. Due to the indigo dying this plaid may bleed. This is something that can never be avoided. So wash separately and be carefull around white garments. We hope you love its special character as much as we do.
- Due to the handmade nature of these throws, expect slight variation in the appearance of each one.
- Sizes may vary slightly.
- Wash cold, with similar colors only.
- The color intensity of your throw will fade over time due to the natural pigments.
